Baseball Wrap-Up

The Cougars finished off a second consecutive 4-0 week by sweeping 2-game sets over Paradise Valley CC and Chandler-Gilbert CC. Following Saturday night’s 9-1 win over CGCC, South Mountain has run off 8 consecutive conference wins. The Cougars offense remained consistent throughout the week, led by the Frabasilio brothers. Colton Frabasilio was 9 for 18 on the week, while Jordan Frabasilio posted an 8 for 19 with a home run and 9 runs batted in. Sophomore TC Mark was 6 for 17 with 4 doubles, a triple, and 4 runs batted in. Sophomore Chris Freudenberg stood out on the mound with a Save in Wednesday’s 5-4 win over PVCC (1inning, 3 strikeouts) and a win on Saturday over CGCC with 7 scoreless innings and 9 strikeouts. This week, the Cougars will host Eastern Arizona in a Tuesday double-header (12pm) and head to #3 ranked (NJCAA) Cochise College on Saturday for a double-header (12pm).
